Seating plans — Birthday invitation

Prerequisites

Configuring the seating plans requires that you have first created an event. Make sure you have completed the birthday creation step to access this tool.

Importing guests

A birthday mixes circles that do not always know each other: family, childhood friends, colleagues. Generate the guest list first — it appears in the right sidebar. You have two options:

Option 1: CSV UploadImport a CSV file you already have. Useful when the list comes out of a group chat or a shared spreadsheet: a 'Last name' column and a 'First name' column, or a single 'Full name' column.

Option 2: Mify SyncIf you used the 'Guest management' section, everyone who answered the RSVP lands in the sidebar automatically. This is the safer route when confirmations are still changing the day before the party.

IMPORTANT NOTE: These two methods do not stack. Choosing the CSV import (Option 1) means giving up interactive 'Guest management' tracking (Option 2) for this birthday.

Designing tables

Once the list is loaded, build the tables in the main area. For a birthday the guest of honour's table usually faces the dance floor, with the others arranged around it. You can:

Choose the shape of each table: rectangular ones fit large groups of friends better.
Set the exact number of seats, keeping a few free for late arrivals.

While you seat your guests, the counter shows live how many are left to place. Drag and drop names from the sidebar, and mix the circles at each table rather than parking colleagues on one side and friends on the other.

Preview Demo

When the plan is ready, the 'Preview Demo' button shows the exact guest-side rendering. Use it to check that no name ended up at two different tables after a last-minute change.
